from to  so as to better represent the 'me'ness' of this my 2nd list.

Now I'm going
from to  so as to better represent the creativeness of what will be my 3rd list.

But first, I should wrap up my 2nd list with the totals, which are as follows:
Completed_71
Carried over to next list & possibly the list thereafter_18
Failed for the time being_1
Failed forever and all time OR no longer interested in_7
with 3 never filled in?????
and
with the Complete Second List here

I, for all intents and purposes quit this list in June when Lauren & I devised a [livejournal.com profile] mission101 SUMMER List, which was, frankly, very successful even if it didn't comprise either 101 tasks or 1001 days. I will post about that tomorrow and about my new [livejournal.com profile] mission101 list on Friday.

My thoughts, hopefully succinctly said, on my [livejournal.com profile] mission101 experience so far.
My First List: was all about cleaning up and organizing my life, our lives, although I probably wouldn't have defined it as such at the time and which took only a year, not 1001 days.
So, I moved on.
My Second List: was all about devising routines for the smoother running of our lives, whether cleaning, cooking, yardwork, paperwork, grooming, whatever, all of which I am responsible for to the greater extent. Why I only barely work. This took less than a year.
So I am moving on.
I have done what I set out to do on both of these lists. I have organized the hell out of this place, including 'my' part of the garage and I have established routines for almost everything, including cooking which I do NOT care for, especially with Lauren at college as she was my kitchen companion.
Now, on to new ground.

Thanks for taking the time, more tomorrow :D

Total Completed_26
No new tasks completed for February
No new tasks failed for February

All things considered, I find it interesting that I am only now really starting to understand how I work best.
Case in point: For several tasks, I have 'do such and such for so many minutes per day or week or however long, each month.'
NO!!!! No,no,no...not how I work best. I work best when I have defined projects, if [livejournal.com profile] mission101 has taught me anything, it has taught me this.
So, there are, again, changes to be made confined to Creativity and Household.
Let's see how THIS works out.

     Creativity

Was: 1. Work on Art Projects 8 hours 1st monthly week -- this has been COMPLETELY unsuccessful.
Is: Decide on art-related project @ start of each new month & work on it until complete.

Was: 2. Work on Computer Art Projects (to include Photoshop, icons) 8 hours 2nd monthly week
Is: Create 1 computer/ photoshop project & one icon project per month. Post either to my journal OR contests comms.

Was:3. Work on Photography Projects
I'm deleting this because I have 2 photography project tasks on [livejournal.com profile] mission101 -- [livejournal.com profile] 100_snapshots  & 365 Project -- making this unnecessary. It was, though, actually this task that helped me realize that I work better with defined projects since this is the only Creative task I've actually completed successfully.

Was: 7. Work on Writing Projects
Is: Choose one personal story & complete

      Household

Was: 70. Do 30 mins per day 5X per week cleaning house
Is: Clean one area per week (house on 4 week rotation, does not include bathrooms)

Was: 71. Do 30 mins per day 5X per week working in yard
Is: Do one project per week alternating front to back yards

Creativity
11. Organize card file
Before: Photo
After: What cards remain fit into one of the cardboard boxes
I, like many, save ALL my, and my families, holiday cards. I had far far far to many, but sorting through was a sob-fest, cards from parents who are no longer alive, including those we'd sent to them over the years, cards from friends I no longer know, cards from a child who was once young but no longer is. I'd plan on doing this on my next list but now it's done.

94. Organize upper half of Lauren's closet
Before: Photo
After: Everything to the right of the yellow/ blue/ green boxes is gone
Boxes are organized, all full of Lauren's baby's clothes, shoes, preschool work books.

Creativity

10. Learn five origami designs_Complete
          A)  Box
          B) Crane_Lauren
          C) Heart
          D) Christmas-related origami
          E) Heart-Letter

Style

31. Mimic Tommy Joe’s earrings minus the industrial piercing only the opposite.
Why? Because I like them.
Need I say, the pics are Tommy's left/_my right AND Tommy/'s right/_my left.
The reason for NOT doing the Industrial piercing is, to me, obvious,
And I already tried once years ago, and failed, to do the cartilage piercing on his right but that's my left, how I mainly sleep and I could NOT adapt. The 2 little cartilage piercings on my left, however, while annoying, have been doable so, YAY!!

34. Develop clothing style for casual wear
      A) Tunic type tops with leggings
      B) Tunic type tops with low-rise skinny jeans
      C) Shorter tops with slight low-rise boot-cut jeans
35. Develop clothing style for going out/ work
      A) Nicer tunic type tops with leggings
      B) Skirts & dresses with leggings
      C) Nicer shirts with slacks
With low-rise jean, I'm only really comfortable if my tops are a little longer, hence the 'tunics", by which I mean somewhat longer tops than normal.

some more stuff )

Books/ Media
55. Read every book offered up at my book club_2/ 6
‘The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lachs’ by Rebecca Skloot
The non-fic story of Henrietta Lachs, her descendants, the author as she attempted to write Henrietta's story, and the invaluable contribution Henrietta's genes have made to cell technologies including the ever-changing ethical questions surrounding the harvesting of cells & tissues. An easy and very enlightening read.
56. Read one art/ photography history book per month_2/ 11
'Gray' by James Rondeau and Douglas Druick; With contributions by Mark Pascale, Richard Shiff, Barbara Rose, and Kelly Keegan and Kristin Lister, and an interview with the artist by Nan Rosenthal
A wonderful essay driven catalog for Johns' 2008 exhibition at the Art Institute of Chicago, I enjoyed reading this, with some essays easier to read than others, but all well worth the effort especially the interview with Johns.

Original list

As I mentioned yesterday, I want to start fresh and kind of go a different way with this. Some, a few, of the items on my new list are actual tasks, but the majority are, to my mind, life goals, changing the way I live from day to day. None are earth-shattering, still, if I can complete most of these in the time I've allotted myself, I think bad habits will be changed to the better.

While my family is, as always, a part of this, Lauren especially, I'm changing my icon

from    to    so as to better represent the 'me'ness' of this list.
