I hate to appear unsophisticated in your eyes, but I haven't read any Nin. Of the two you've read, would you recommend one?

I would recommend both. They are both collections of erotica done in spare, poetic language. The stories aren't longer than 10- 12 pages - usually shorter. My impressions are of carribbean wrought iron balconies, Spanish-shawled ladies, dark-eyed artists and their pale skinned muses. Lovely.

I read them decades ago. I think you will like them. They are dreamy and at the same time sharp and pointed.
