His early years, while still at home, were apparently not the best. His father was a big-deal executive at Ford and Williams was neglected a great deal of the time, time which he spent inventing characters to keep himself from being lonely. But, it seems, the main problem for him was a life-long battle with depression. Also, now it's been revealed that he had the early onset of Parkinson's disease which, especially as such a physical comedian, had to have been utterly terrifying to contemplate. Shows you how bad his mind-set was because, otherwise, he had three terrific kids, a young, fairly new third wife and lived in a lovely home in Tiburon up in Marin County just north of San Francisco, his show had been renewed for another season, they were going to do a sequel to Mrs. Doubtfire and etc. etc.. Just so sad.

We are having a good summer!!
