snagged from Alex

I'm sure that by now most, if not all, of you are aware of the campaign "It Gets Better' on YouTube being done in response to the recent, and unacceptable, gay teen suicides here in the US.

This vid is one man's response, which I hope you will take the time to watch. Double click on it so that you're taken all the way to YouTube and watch there so the 'view' number begins to climb, vote to "like' it, get the code and post to your journal, spread it through email, whatever, just pass this on, because seriously, the horror of what's going on has to stop and one way to do that is through education, educating the tormented that they aren't alone, that their lives will change for the better, especially once out of high school and educating the tormentors that we don't find what they do acceptable, that, as a society, we find it wrong.

There may be a long way to go, but we have to start somewhere. This man, along with many others, has taken a very personal, heart-wrenching first step. The least we can do is support him, and them, by making what he's done as worthwhile as possible by getting his message out there to as many as possible. Thanx.

She goes to a designated Safe School, and I do see the irony that a school needs to be designated as SAFE when that should be a given. She remains unscathed, but still knowing how fortunate she is. Cool that you saw it too, we must have been watching the same news.
