9_MIss_I miss when the kids were this young, I miss this.
My daughter's name, Lauren, is in the blue box, bottom right-ish hand side  written plainly in green.
Also the school, Athenour, was founded in 1965 and closed in 2004, making my daughter's class the last one.

44_Path_These are the kids mentioned above in 2011

69_Fly

93_Surprise_I imagine her looking down and thinking 'Ooops!!!'

flickr has all the rest

The birds made me smile!

they are very cool. Can you see how the one that is sitting has been injured? Looks to be an old wound that has mended, that indentation on his chest. Whenever we go to this particular spot, behind a favorite take-away restaurant, he's there like a little sentinel guarding the backside of the pier :))

Was the last one taken at the Academy of Sciences?

[identity profile] gaeln.livejournal.com 2012-05-10 03:25 am (UTC)(link)
Yes it was, very good. We had such a fun day there!!!

It is a fun place. Also there are plenty of 'photo ops' in the area.

Are those Seagulls on the top of Stagnaro's?????
That is one of my favorite restaurants!
Love these pictures - always feel like home!
Thank you for sharing them.
:))

one is a pelican and I believe the other is a seagull. Whats' important is that you knew the name of the restaurant and I could not remember it so, thank you!!!

No problem :D

haha - I did notice one was a pelican - I was just so excited to see the restaurant I typed too fast. My dad actually grew up down the street from the original Stagnaro family - so it became a tradition to eat there growing up.
Great picture of both the birds, btw. :))

aww Bittersweet the first photo, bye school.
I like the path photo.

it actually was bittersweet. Lauren and I helped one of her teacher's move all of her teaching supplies out of her classroom. She'd started teaching there the year the school had opened. For awhile, it was only a Montessori grade school but now they've added a preschool named it Athenour, so at least the name has returned :))

Oh that is bittersweet, all those years. Nice that the name has returned.

I like Fly. Is the water shot at a seaquarium?

[identity profile] gaeln.livejournal.com 2012-05-20 04:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Fly was one of those very cool accidents :)

Surprise was taken at the penguin aquarium at the Academy of Sciences in Golden Gate park.
