If you don't know much about him, here's a little bit from KQED's American Masters series. Personally, I think I enjoy Cage's philosophy about music more than the music itself, his new of sixty years ago still being maybe a little too new for me today. Still, his impact, through his own compositions and through his collaborations with all manner of artists, painters, other composers, and choreographers, is a long-lasting and definite game-changer.
