Today, I read.
Sure, I did have to do four loads of laundry, and I did sweep the kitchen floor, and I did dust SOMETHING. Oh, and I did have to take Lauren for the second of what will probably be 360 to 365 orthodontist appointments over the next 22 to 26 months BUT in between, before and after, in and around...I read.

And what did I read? I started my bookclub book which is: 'Garlic and Sapphires: The Secret Life of a Critic in Disguise' by Ruth Reichl who was the New York Times food critic during the 1980s and '90s. A smooth and easy read with actual reviews and a few recipes included.

So, yeah. today I'm happy because I spent the day, mostly, reading a book I'm actually enjoying, while David painted part of the fence mossy green, and while not at the dentist Lauren worked on and finished her essay on 'Of Mice and Men' which amazing amazing is due tomorrow.
