November 8, 2012 before and after
BEFORE is what it is.
AFTER includes a couple of my favorite prints - the deers...the guys...the Pre-Raphaelite woman - a photo of my glamor mom, probably around age 22, to the far left, David's parents center bottom-ish, several items my parents brought back from their travels and two that I did, and a photo of my parents and me when we all very young.

I hope you enjoy it also.

I love the picture arrangement on the wall.

I'll listen to the music after work.

Thank you, I like colleging my pictures, looks less formal, I think.

Let me know when you get the chance what you think of the music :) Hope it went well at work.

Picture Array

Oh, I love your wall. And I love that it includes a mirror so that anyone looking at the wall is including themselves in the display.

I have now have a blank wall in my dining room and am trying to make up my mind what to do with it. Put up shelves and display objets. Well, for starters, I don't own any objets, and I'm trying to cut down on the clutter, not increase it. I do have bazillion pictures, so either an array like yours or spot-lighting one or two are also possiblities.

I am reluctant to rush into anything. I'm sort of letting it slosh around in my mind. FanSee

For me it was wanting to display pieces that have meaning for me and which had been otherwise hidden away in a drawer. As you know, my style is much more cluttered than yours and this wall was my last opportunity so, I took advantage of that. You're right not to buy more especially if you have things your not using. If you have the room, arrange several pieces on the floor in front of your blank wall and see what works. I sort of did the same using the bed :) Good luck, I know whatever you do will look great.

I like both the song and the wall collage. I had a wall like that in my bathroom years ago, prints, photos and mirrors too from ceiling to about waist high. What is he picture of all the way to the right? It's black and white and looks like a formal group shot.

I'm glad you like the song, I love Celtic-esque music!! I bet your bathroom wall looked wonderful, I like being able to gather up so many disparate things in one place.

It's of some aspect of my dad's family, not sure who, but of the many photos he possessed, this was one of the few he actually hung so, I do so too even if, in a way, it makes me sad because the blond boy looks just, I mean just, like my dad did at his age but while this boy is surrounded by his three sisters, my dad was an only child who spoke often of how he wished he'd had a brother or sister. Oh well.

Thanks for showing me a closeup. The blond boy looks like a little gentleman, very self-possessed and poised. Hopefully you and any brothers and sisters you may have had helped to round out and fulfill your dad's wish in some way.

He really does look serf-possessed, I have another, also of his whole family, where he's being all cocky in a his bowler hat, so cute.
Interestingly, not only was my dad an only child so was my mom, so am I and so is my Lauren. Oh and so is my husband, David. Small family is small :)

That has got to be a rare combination. I am an only child too. :)
