I made my first post for
100_snapshots on April 28th, 2009 and now, on April 1st, 2014, I'm making my last so, it's been nearly five years from beginning to end. I've completed three of the four lists they have available and that's plenty good enough for me as I have another idea I'd like to try starting with my next
mission101 in October.
And as per usual, I put off those prompts that I had no idea what to do with until the bitter end so, desperate is as desperate does :)
Number of Photographs: 3
Themes: 53_Aquarius; 64_Rumor; 93_Tough
53_Aquarius_tattoos from google images

64_Rumor_I had NO idea how to take a photo to this prompt...none so when I saw the word in my favorite book, well...done is done :)

93_Tough_I took a photo of my computer screen showing my three word docs for my three 100_snapshots lists DONE because completing all of this was indeed TOUGH!!
The first list was completed on April 5th, 2011, the second was completed on July 11, 2012 and the third was completed with the posting of this photograph on April 1, 2014.

Date: 2014-04-09 02:39 am (UTC)As for this set, the desperation doesn't show. Tough, in particular, convinces.
I haven't read The Great Gatsby. Why? I don't know. *sigh* I have some odd lacunae in my cultural achievements. FanSee
Re: List the Third and Last
Date: 2014-04-09 05:42 pm (UTC)I'm glad desperation doesn't show but seriously, I had no idea what to do for any of these three words and had been thinking about them forever. I didn't want to take another bookstore shot of books pertaining to astrology for 'Aquarius', I've used that idea enough. I don't know how to show a 'rumor', that's so abstract, and 'tough' was either bad meat or something difficult to do.
I was reading and found 'rumor', happily because Gatsby really is one of my favorite books. I read it once a year just to remind myself what good writing is. Then, within ten minutes I thought of doing a google search for 'Aquarius' tattoos which only left 'tough', as in difficult, as in this five year long project. Shows you what motivation can do. I wanted to be done with this task and within an hour, I was :)
BTW Gatsby is less than two hundred pages and easily read. Give it a chance. It may not be the most brilliant book ever written, hardly, and I think sometimes people's expectations run to high, but I think it is so beautifully written, spare, each word necessary for Fitzgerald to tell his story, that I highly recommend it.
