Fine here but can't help but wonder where the epicenter is and if they are just as fine?

I didn't even hear about this. I'm glad you're okay.

think I should have prefaced with 'little', not a biggie, at least here, and I haven't checked any further. The state seems to be dancing from one end to the other. Just letting off a little steam or, as an elderly friend down by Palm Springs says, 'just letting off a little gas'.

I hadn't heard either. I'm glad you are okay and that there were no serious injuries closer to the epicentre. Off to check cnn.com for news.

I posted as it was happening, but it was well and done by the time I finished. just a baby I guess, I haven't heard. My daughter didn't notice, she was several blocks away but others at her school did, so I'm not crazy at least. Since the little ones have been happening down south, I've become hyper aware. My first memory is of an earthquake, they loom rather large throughout my life so...just thought I'd mention it.

hope things are calm where you are.

After having a lovely weekend of spring-like temps and wonderful sunshine, we are now being battered once again by snow, freezing rain and wind. Bahh!

I can't imagine living with the thoughts of earthquakes. I hope you haven't experienced any terrible ones.

I heard about the snow, seems wrong to give spring and then take it back again. Actually my first memory is of an earthquake, I was a couple of yeas old, and I remember it clearly. The worst was the '89 Loma Preleta.(spelling?) My normal 30 min. drive home from work took three hours over wracked out freeway and with bumper to bumper traffic. It was surreal. From where I worked, on the edge of the SF bay, we could see the Marina in San Francisco burning, although we didn't know that's where it was just then. I had just moved out of the Marina a couple of months before. We had to go there a week or so later to help a friend move out, and the place was nearly unrecognizable. My life is dotted by earthquakes. It's tornadoes that freak me out.

[livejournal.com profile] xie_xie_xie is also in the Bay Area, and she said she didn't feel anything and that her dogs didn't even wake up.

So far no one on my F-list has said they were affected. My fingers remain crossed. FanSee

sorry to get you concerned, my kid several blocks away didn't feel it although others at her school did. I just always worry for where ever the center is.

turns out it was about five miles away so I felt it stronger than I normally would have since usually I'm on the edges. It was just a little one...4.3 anyway on an unnamed fault. thanks for commenting.

it was just a baby...4.3 but I was closer to center than normally, it centered about five miles away. I always imagine I'm on the edge and somewhere else is hurt. not this time. thanks so much for commenting. hope you are doing fine.
